Recording Architecture - RA , Pegley-D'Arcy Architects and Black Box have been based in Greenwich, London since 1987. The companies offer combinations of services to cover all aspects of architectural, acoustic and interior design of buildings and spaces specifically related to sound -including recording studios- or more general building types- including offices and private residences. The Group can undertake all stages of the design/implementation process from outline concept through detailed design and cost/project management to completion both in the UK and internationally.

RA has virtually unrivalled experience in the design of a range of studio types. These include orchestral, residential, mixing, mastering, post production, film dubbing, video editing and rehearsal studios. Clients have included record and publishing companies, individual artists and producers, commercial studios, government bodies, educational institutions and community groups in the UK and over 40 countries worldwide.

Pegley-D'Arcy Architects undertake the design of building projects which may not directly involve the acoustic capabilities of the Group. Pegley-D'Arcy Architects also provide the Group expertise in other important aspects of design and project implementation including: planning permission application/listed building consent, building control/fire brigade liaison and CDM planning supervision/HSE compliance.

Black Box Limited manufactures the elements of the Black Box Acoustic Conditioning System -including the Professional Monitor Stand- and a variety of architectural elements and furniture developed by the Group. Black Box Limited is experienced in the shipping of specialist building materials and components into Group projects worldwide where local alternatives may be unavailable. Materials and elements include acoustic foams, fabrics, sliding and hinged acoustic doorsets, technical furniture and racks.
